out of hoursWhen the Surgery is Closed

Provision of medical services outside surgery hours is the responsibility of Hampshire Primary Care Trust.

The Out of Hours Service telephone number is:

                           1 1 1

This is the new NHS 111 service.  Your call will be answered by an experienced healthcare provider in Out of Hours medical services. They will need the following information from you:

    • Personal details

    • Basic information about your problem

If you wish to make a complaint about the Out of Hours Service, please contact the Hampshire Primary Care Trust on 02380 627600.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

NHS 111 has replaced NHS Direct

NHS 111 will provide a single point of rapid access for all non- emergency healthcare services.  At any time of day or night, you can call 111.   Calls to 111 are free.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
