Community Nurses

The District Nursing Sister and her team of nurses provide expert nursing care and support to patients and relatives in their own homes. They can help with dressings, injections, leg ulcer care, incontinence problems, bereavement counselling, terminal care and health education. The District Nurses are no longer based at the surgery.  To contact the District Nursing Sister, please telephone their office on Andover 835372. A message will be passed to the nursing team. The hospital will arrange for the District Nursing Sister to visit patients discharged from hospital if they require nursing care or advice.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors give advice on health care, particularly for expectant mothers and small children. If you have a problem affecting your health they can put you in touch with sources of help. They are no longer located at the surgery but can be contacted, Monday to Friday, on Andover 353855 (please note the new number). The Health Visitors ask the parents of the children under five joining the practice to fill in a notifying form.
